Winter Expo {Wenatchee photography, Wenatchee Winter Sports}

With names like Nordica, Swix, Monster, Whitedot Freeride and locals like Osprey Rafting and Bob Feil Boats & Motors, the 2012 Winter Expo held this past season at Applewood Grill in Wenatchee, WA was filled with local snow enthusiasts. What better way to meet other cold weather junkies then at a local establishment with rad giveaways, on-site demos and a well known local dj leading the activities. We even had a crew from Stevens Pass join in on the fun. This season's weather was record breaking and ended with amazing spring conditions. Another reason why we locals choose to call this home.

Meet Lola's family {Baby photography, family portraits, Newborn photography, Wenatchee}

I was first introduced to Lola's brother Noah, last fall when I photographed he and his cousin Annie. What an adorable pair! When Miss Lola arrived, I was invited for another session in their beautiful 1920's home, that included mom, dad and now "big brother" Noah. I must say, I enjoy shooting a newborn session in the family home more than anything and just simply capturing the wonderful moments of a new baby in their own surroundings. It's a very personal time for a family and I am thrilled to be a part of it. Lola seems to be quite content in her home and I know she will be tagging along with her brother soon enough. I wish this family many happy moments to come.

I want to send out a special "thank you" to my dear friends at "Out on a Whim" here in Wenatchee. They were gracious enough to let me borrow this beautiful antique drawer to use for Lola's shoot. Check them out on Wenatchee Avenue, they have some amazing things there!

I think this last photo set shows just how excited big brother Noah was to see me when I showed up to take their photos. Well I guess that's not entirely true; he actually was just anxious to go ride his bike with dad but still managed to give me some genuine smiles.

Introducing a sneak peak of Miss Lola Mae {baby photography, family portraits, Wenatchee}

Welcoming a new baby to one's family is nothing short of a miracle. Little Lola Mae was a wee bit camera shy this Easter weekend but I did manage to capture some wonderfully sweet shots of her and her adorable brother.

This season is just beginning to come to life and I have so many great photo shoots to share.

Happy New Year!

I have been prolonging my New Year's post long enough, waiting until I was inspired by either a wonderfully creative New Years resolution or simply a moment when I felt compelled to write. Sometimes this blog is the next best thing to me finding my journal or at best even a pen and a clean piece of paper to write on.

So, I do not have any specific News Years resolutions. I do not have an agenda for 2012. I do not know exactly where my business is going to take me this year and I do not have too many expectations for myself. I am trying to simplify, to endure the moments as they happen and to roll with the unexpected. I want to embrace the unknown and let it guide me through my journey in life as well as my business.

I have already made a commitment to give my all to the clients that I have this year and to only accept work that I deem gratifying to both myself and my clients. I am vowing to let my passion for art and photography guide my work. I have some new things in the works for my business that I think my clients are going to love! I will be sharing more of that with each new post this year.

I want to let this year happen as it should, living each day and being present with what I have in front of me. I want to make sure that I experience every moment as it happens. I hope you'll stick with me to find out where this journey leads me. I hope you'll be there to see the year unfold.

I would like to thank all of my 2011 clients for trusting my creative abilities and letting me share in your special life moments. I hope we meet up again soon. I still have many, many posts to catch up on from 2011 so check back frequently.

I am including a few photos in this post because after all, that's what this is all about... me taking photos of things that are important to me and most of all to you too.

These photos represent a new creative endeavor for me. I am a HUGE music fan and am super charged about this new project that I will be working on throughout the year. More on that later.

Happy New Year everyone. I hope you take the time to enjoy life as it reveals itself, each and every day.

cheers!

Lifestyle Portraits [photography, Wenatchee WA]

Ana is genuinely sweet and naturally beautiful! I had so much fun shooting these photos for her portfolio. She traveled over from the West Side and we just happened to get lucky and get a sunny day in the middle of October! Ana wants to be a model for a pretty famous little swimsuit company that I just happen to love! I hope you follow your dreams Ana and let your heart guide you to become who you want to be.

I read once that if you let yourself get lost, that is when you truly find yourself...
